Welcome to;

Into the Poets Mind.

I got this idea to create a page where I would weekly give insights and thoughts to the many pieces I post during the week.
And here we are.

So today , I decided to do a rundown of today’s Entries. It’s a post with a bit of my thoughts on these four pieces of poetry; Apologies , Breathe ,Why do you begin again, Bloody Girl. All short Poetry and of course I love being spontaneous and reflective at that same time , so you will surely notice these effects.

Let’s get into it.

Apologies;

In my opinion “Apologies”comes from a serene place of self understanding , not only of this world but of the very fibres that connects us to the world ; to the other person. A place where we accept ourselves ; our short comings and successes not as an end in itself but as an ever growing process, never permanent and being “OK” with the situation. We also grow in that peaceful understanding of our neighbors not in a way where we predict their next actions or judge them but in such a way that we are continually open to their growth and change as well.

Breathe;

Even now that , I read this particular piece. I understand how simple life ought to be . For me “Breathe” is synonymous to Living and Growth Breathe as Living; I believe that living is an act of experience; the experience of the good and bad , high and the low. And no matter how we stray from the true act of living, we should remember that we live for the experience. Breathe as Growth ; I think it is safe to say that Living and Growth invariably go hand-in-hand. For if we live always with the conciousness that everything thing we go through , is for our growth and Living in itself our duty .Our world won’t be so unbearable.

Why I love this piece in particular? Well maybe because of my perceived meaning and the almost rhyming effect running through it . For me, it’s has this soothing effect

Why do you begin again?

I particularly like this piece, because of its underlining theme of ” resilience” by asking series of provoking and some worth discouraging questions to a persona / reader. The questions are not rhetorical “Not deserving of an answer” but rather seeking to draw out the very answers which the persona provides after a reflective moment.

It’s tone is harsh and I love the fact that it slowly let’s you in to a reflective pause.

Bloody Girl ;

This piece is particularly beautiful. I love the mixed emotions; mild dread, love and mostly indifference . It’s quite an imaginary pieces. While working on this I wanted to achieve an effect whereby the reader would begin to mentally comprehend the situation . So far , I did not achieve exactly that the way I had wanted to but nonetheless I love the way it came out. For me it gives of the feeling of a mild , suppressed breakdown judging from the 3 last sentences .

I love how unpredictable it turned out.

So , that’s it for today’s run down.Thank you for stopping by. Watch out for next weekend’s rundown.

Now , Let’s get the comments rolling .I love how a piece of art can be interpreted differently by readers. And I would love the hear all about yours in the comment section.
